Hannah Abroad is a personal travel journal. This page explains the optional analytics used to understand which stories and planning tools are useful and how people find the site.

Your choice

Google Analytics loads only after you accept analytics. Declining keeps it off and does not affect access to the site. Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days, unless you clear browser storage. If your browser blocks storage, you may be asked again on your next visit.

You can also open Analytics settings in the footer. Turning analytics off stops future collection, clears this site’s Google Analytics cookies, and reloads the page. It does not delete measurements already sent to Google.

What analytics measures

With your analytics permission, the Plitvice quiz also measures starts, completions, and clicks from a result to its guide. It may report a recommended route letter or a general unavailable result. Your individual answers, walking or accessibility needs, and travel timing are not sent with these events. Quiz answers stay in the current page; sharing copies only a route link.

After acceptance, Google Analytics records page visits and technical information such as browser and device details. Google may use this information to report approximate location, referral sources, and visits over time. Analytics cookies help distinguish visits; this site sets them to expire within 180 days.

Page addresses and referring addresses sent by this site omit query strings and fragments. Restricted campaign labels may be used to understand which shared links bring readers here. Please do not put personal information in campaign labels. This integration does not send names, email addresses, form entries, or a user account ID.

Google Signals, advertising personalization, and advertising storage are disabled. Hannah Abroad does not use this integration for advertising tracking.

Services that receive information

Google processes the analytics information after acceptance. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.

Vercel hosts the website and processes ordinary technical requests needed to deliver its pages and images. That hosting is separate from optional Google Analytics. See Vercel’s privacy policy for information about its service.
